My name is Andrea Dunn and I’m a professional freelance proofreader and copyeditor based in Hampshire. I have been fortunate to work with words for most of my career, having qualified as a solicitor in 2003. In 2014, I decided to pursue my love of language by enrolling on an English Literature degree course with The Open University. I passed the Publishing Training Centre’s Basic Proofreading course with a merit and set up my own proofreading business. I have subsequently passed the Publishing Training Centre’s Essential Copy-Editing course. I am an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

Client focus with a professional approach
Many years working as a solicitor and now as a proofreader means I have an eye for detail, deadlines and budgets. I am fortunate to be able to combine legal and business experience with my proofreading and copyediting qualifications and skills.
I have worked on numerous proofreading and copyediting projects including books for publishers, company documents and literature, magazines, marketing material, website copy, college prospectuses and press releases.
It is essential that all documents, including internal literature for employees, reports produced for clients and marketing material, are both accurate and professionally presented.
